Just can’t cut yourself off completely?
Cell phones: AT&T’s network provides cell reception in the Rimrock and Pipes Canyon area; as of a few months ago, Verizon still did not. (Once you turn the road and head into Pioneertown, Verizon service usually resumes.)
TV: Ours are playback only, but we have VCRs and movies!
Wireless networks: The Water Canyon Coffee Company on Pioneertown Road and Rte 62 has free wireless.
(We do have a land line on the premises for emergencies.)
